Pipette Doctor (UK) can uniquely offer calibrations for pipettes between 0.2ul and 10ml on site and at our Torquay Laboratory. We also warranty the workmanship on our pipettes for 12 months. Outside the UK our partners, franchisees and licensees have varying forms of accreditation depending on their local legal bodies.

6. I been told by my current service company that the gravimetric method is the only method allowed by the standard ISO8655. Is this true ?

No. Part 7 of the standard has been ratified by the ISO committee specifically relates to the non-gravimetric method we use for micro-volume pipettes.

Artel, who manufacture the PCS photometric calibration system we use for the on-site calibration of micropipettes under 10ul is accredited to ISO17025, the same standard that UKAS accredited companies are assessed against. Pipette Doctor has great expertise in interpretation and use of this standard having been in constant dialogue with the ISO committee about our findings when working with the standard.

Some pipette service companies make this statement as they are unable or unwilling to invest in equipping their field engineers with this state of the art equipment.
